San Remo. Most famous, perhaps, with the song festival they have been doing there since 1951. What I found more interesting was, it hosted a conference that was the preliminary to the infamous Sevres Conference at which the allies discussed which ones would end up with which parts of the Ottoman land. If you ever go to San Remo, make sure to tour the old town. During the Siesta, the San Remo Casino is the place to spend some time and try your luck. San Remo is another Mediterranean town. You will like it. |
